What is GPRS?
GPRS stands for General Packet Radio Service ( for example, to have permanent access to Internet via GPRS phone terminal ).

What is GPRS for?
To browse in Internet pages you can use computer (i.e. laptop), electronic organizer (Palm, Pilot, Psion, etc.) as well as mobile GPRS phone. And you can visit HTML pages, download files, and apply E-mail applications and any other Internet resources. The common GSM net provides the maximum speed up to 4 Kb/s, but GPRS provides the speed up to 171.2 Kb/s at full usage.
